Mayor Jason B. Willis is a lifelong resident of St. Martinville, a devoted husband, proud father of three, and grandfather of four. His deep roots in the community and his unwavering commitment to public service have shaped every step of his journey.

With more than 13 years of leadership experience in government, Mayor Willis has dedicated his career to revitalizing St. Martinville and making it a model for municipal excellence. Since taking office, he has led initiatives that have improved infrastructure, strengthened public safety, and fostered economic growth—all while honoring the city’s unique heritage. His ability to quickly build productive relationships with employees, fellow mayors, legislators, and community members has been key to delivering swift and meaningful results for residents.

Mayor Willis’s dedication to service began long before he took public office. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during Desert Storm, ran a successful business for nearly three decades, and contributed to the local school system as a bus driver for 23 years. His career has given him a rare, hands-on perspective of the needs and challenges facing families, businesses, and municipalities across Louisiana.

Before becoming mayor, he served as a Parish Councilman—three of those years as Chairman—where he honed his skills in consensus building, strategic planning, and ensuring that every voice had a seat at the table. Beyond his official duties, Mayor Willis is deeply engaged in community life. From hosting annual youth events to serving on local nonprofit boards, he continues to invest his time and energy into making St. Martinville a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
